INFORMATION FOR LEARNERS

Learners come from a wide range of schools in the area. All learners coming to the centre will not have completed their Leaving Certificate in school and some will not have completed their Junior Certificate either. 

• Group sizes are small. We have a maximum of 10 learners in each group
• Food is provided for all learners. Breakfast is from 10am – 10.15am and lunch is served each day from 12pm - 12.30pm.
• Trips / Outings are arranged once per month
• Training Allowances are paid
• A Counsellor is available to meet learners on request
• The training day is 8.30am – 2pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 11.30am on Fridays.
• All learners coming to the centre come for an initial one year period. This time may be increased if needed for learners who have proved their commitment to learning but need a longer time. 
• A six month period of work placement is an option for learners finishing all courses. This can be discussed as finish dates are confirmed.
