Industrial Skills

Courses in the Industrial Skills area are offered at both QQI Level 3 and 4. Trainees in this area learn practical skills in the area of welding, metalwork, metal turning, woodwork and wood turning. Modules in these practical areas are complemented by core QQI modules in Communications, Maths, Computers, Personal Effectiveness and Work Experience.

The Industrial Skills course suits young people who enjoy using their hands and who are keen to ultimately develop a career in a practical skill area. Trainees are given access to a large range of workshop equipment/tools including welders, saws, drills and various metalwork and woodworking machines and receive instruction on them all.
